The Uniformed Police Directorate takes care of coordinated, professional, effective and lawful work of the uniformed police at the state level.

The Uniformed Police Directorate performs the following tasks:

• plans, organises, expertly coordinates and supervises the work of internal organisational units,
• directly coordinates and manages demanding tasks of the uniformed police,
• participates in the preparation of legislation regarding police operations,
• ensures the implementation of legislation regarding the operations of the uniformed police and obligations arising from international regulations,
• cooperates with foreign authorities and organisations in its field of work,
• ensures professionalism and appropriateness of information on the operations of the uniformed police that the General Police Directorate or Ministry of the Interior communicates to State bodies and the public,
• performs the tasks of a minor offence body in accordance with regulations and
• performs other tasks defined by law or other regulations.
